The story is by Nald Tabuzo and illustrated by Godley Malabanan. It will be on sale during the said event at the SMX Convention Center-Manila, Philippines this September 17, 2016.

I recently got to promoting the hashtag #MakeGreatestLoveGreatAgain after a certain note that was published in their FB Page. It made my day.

Riho Iida to Perform in Cosplay Mania JAM Concert in the Philippines

*insert internal screaming here*
It’s official– Riho Iida (the singer and seiyuu of Love Live‘s Rin Hoshizora) is performing in the Cosplay Mania JAM Concert this October! Iida is also known for her nickname “Rippi”.

This year’s JAM (Japanese Anime Music) is a collaboration between Cosplay Mania and AFA – ANIME FESTIVAL ASIA‘s Anisong which makes this one of the most anticipated anime and cosplay convention to go to this year.
As an attendee of the said convention since 2014, I would definitely say that this year’s Cosplay Mania is worth going to (and worth the wait if you live outside of Manila). With all-star guests and various events for you to take part, it’ll be one epic weekend you will never forget.
For more announcements related to Cosplay Mania, like their Facebook page. You may also like the official page for the JAM Concert here

Junko Minagawa and Sayaka Ohara to voice Sailor Uranus and Neptune in Sailor Moon Crystal’s Third Season

It’s officially confirmed that seiyuus Junko Minagawa and Sayaka Ohara will be voicing Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune respectively in the upcoming third season of Sailor Moon Crystal.
The remake of this classic anime premiered via online streaming in 2014 with season two ended in 2015. After a minor silence of the project (regardless of the massive merchandise announcements), it’s great to know that the visuals for the third season are very promising as well as their great seiyuu line-up.
Unlike the first Sailor Moon anime that premiered in the 90s, Sailor Moon Crystal will be accurately based from the manga chapters created by Naoko Takeuchi. Another Sailor Moon project is also in the works which has yet to be revealed as of this time.
For those who are curious on how these two sound like, watch the two video links below!

Musaigen no Phantom World Episode 1 – Those Racks!

Part of my New Year’s resolutions is to catch up on the latest anime released by season. That way I wouldn’t be left behind and wouldn’t have to worry if someone spoils me an episode or two.

Musaigen no Phantom World episode one was just recently released (part of the Winter 2016 anime line-up) so I never missed a dull moment to watch it. I like it!

Kawakami Mai

This episode had a good start. Great concept, info based on accurate facts, fantasy-meets-reality, supernatural, and minor awkward fanservice. I missed the hype of watching a good anime that is something new to the table. For a person like me who hasn’t watched the latest anime for quite a while, this was worth it.

Though there are some generic points, this seems to be one good show to watch out for every week. I’m hanging on to this and hope this doesn’t slow down. As a person who loves legends and various trivia information, it’s great to know that you get to learn something while you watch it.

I won’t be spoiling a lot for the benefit of people who haven’t watched episode 1.For the record, Mai is on my top fave list of characters for this anime season.

I will be posting a summary (and review) on episode 2 when it comes out. For now, I’m giving this episode an 8 out of 10!

By the way, I titled this review “Those Racks” for a reason! Just watch the first episode.

Touken Ranbu Regiment Battle Event Report – Day 1

For those who are not aware yet, Touken Ranbu is having an event which allows saniwas to get the two new swords when they reach the total point requirement of 50,000 and successfully clearing the final map. You can find the basic info about the event here.

In this post, I’ll be sharing my first day report to serve as a guide for players who will be taking part in this campaign. Remember that all the info that I’ll be sharing here is based from my personal experience and it can be different from the others. Nevertheless, I hope this guide will serve as a great help for you in completing this event. There’s no harm in trying!

To be able to sortie into the event maps, all you need to do is to just click on the banner that is located above the default sortie maps. There are three maps which go from Easy to Expert difficulty and in every completed stage, you earn points (Otoshimada). Remember that the higher the difficulty you’re going to sortie in, the more points you’ll earn.

Sadly, Iwatooshi has failed me in this event ;-;

I would suggest that you use your high leveled Wakizashis, Tantous, and Uchigatanas for this event. Though the other sword types (especially Iwatooshi) are also useful in this event, they don’t really deal a lot of damage to the higher level monsters in the expert map. But if you like, you can still bring him or the other multi-enemy hitting toudans like Hotarumaru, Taroutachi, Otegine, Ishikirimaru, etc. to at least take away the enemy troops.

You must always equip gold troops in this map (don’t worry since both your sword damage and troop damage will not be affected upon your return to the citadel). So for short, your swords and troops will not break. Having gold archers, catapults, and musketeers are very useful too for the first kills.

So as of December 30, 2015, I have gathered a total of 450 points. Which means I have like 49550 points to go in order to get the new toudan.

Onwards to day 2!

Touken Ranbu Event Campaign- Regiment Battle

Another Touken Ranbu event is upon us! With the event campaign titled Regiment Battle, saniwas are required to collect Otoshimada to attain toudans, the Winter Night background, and the new toudan Hizamaru. Sources also confirmed that there’s a chance that you’ll get Higekiri on the final dance of the Expert map.
For long time Touken Ranbu players, this event campaign is similar to the Monoyoshi Sadamune event when you’re required to collect a certain number of pearls to get him.
Each player is given 3 passes daily. For those who want to do multiple rounds in a day, you have to pay around 1000 kouban to replenish your passes. Unlike the previous event, saniwas now have the option to switch teams in mid-battle (which is quite useful in completing the waves). Passes are immediately refreshed everyday at 5:00am and 5:00pm Japan Standard Time.
Good luck to those who will be joining this event (I will be writing my event report here soon)! The event duration will be from December 29, 2015 to January 18, 2016 so be sure to use this holiday season to your advantage! Happy Holidays!

HonoCar – A Love Live Mini Game

Love Live is serious business even until this day. Due to the immense hype, fans create their own content based from the series that range from doujins, fanfictions, song covers, and even fan-made video games.

Thanks to one of my friends, he shared a link of what appears to be a Love Live fan-made mini game which features one of the main protagonists Honoka… and cars.

Playing “HonoCar” is easy. You just need to prevent Honoka from hitting the blue cars using the left and right buttons on your keyboard. If you love Honkers a lot, then this game is for you (the art is cute and I really liked the rolling Kotobird when you entered the link for the first time).

This game is quite entertaining especially if you’re waiting for your downloads to be done or you’re just completely bored during the day. You can play the game here and honk your way to reach a high score!

Update: I also forgot to add that if you click on Chibi Eli, you’ll be able to play her aside from Honkers.

A big thanks to Nikko A. for this epic sauce! XD
